Twelve-year-old boy is killed in house fire

A 12-year-old boy was killed when a fire started at his Queens home, officials said Sunday. The fire started inside an apartment building on Ocean Promenade in Bell Harbor around 3 a.m. The boy suffered severe smoke inhalation and died a few hours later, officials said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
